Who we are

Chopperos is a small apparel brand run by Fred Tavarez out of California's Central Valley. This policy explains what information chopperos.com collects, what we do with it and who else touches it. Questions go to chopperosco@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you buy something. Checkout runs on Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, billing details and card number. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches us. We receive your name, email, phone number, shipping address and what you ordered.

When you join the list. The "Get the drop first" form collects your email address. It is stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this site.

When you email us. We keep your message and email address so we can answer you.

When you browse. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used. It sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, the products you look at or add to your bag, the site that sent you, your device and browser type, and your rough location (city level). It does not give us your name or email.

Your bag. The items in your bag are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there when you come back. That never leaves your device until you check out.

How we use it

• To fill, ship and track your order, and to send your receipt
• To text or call the number you gave at checkout to set up a hand-off if you chose Local Pickup
• To answer your emails and handle returns, exchanges and problems with an order
• To email you about new drops, only if you signed up for the list
• To understand which pages and products people use, so we can make the store better
• To spot and stop fraud

Who else sees it

We only share your information with the companies that help us run the store:

• Stripe processes payments and receipts
• Netlify hosts the site and stores newsletter sign-ups
• Google provides Google Analytics
• Shipping carriers get your name and address so they can deliver your package

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect against fraud.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as we need them for returns, bookkeeping and taxes. Newsletter emails stay on the list until you ask to be taken off. Google Analytics data is kept under Google's retention settings for our account.

Your choices

• Leave the list. Email us and we will take you off.
• See, fix or delete your information. Email us and we will tell you what we have and correct or delete it, unless we have to keep an order record for legal or tax reasons.
• Analytics. You can block cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

California residents. We do not sell personal information or share it with others for their direct marketing. If California law gives you a right to know, correct or delete what we hold about you, email us and we will honor it. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. This site does not change what it does when it receives one. Google Analytics may collect information about your visits over time and across different websites. The opt-out add-on above stops that on this site.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, and card details are handled only by Stripe. No system is perfect, so please do not email us card numbers or other sensitive details.

Children

This store is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
